7.0 Earthquake Devastates Haiti
***UPDATE***
We have received word from the head of the Port Au Prince compound that all 38 children are safe, but the orphanage building has completely collapsed. 15 members and employees from the church have died so far. Haitian government assistance has been extremely limited so 95% of all relief efforts currently are simply community members trying to dig with shovels and their bare hands to rescue the few that they can.
If you would like
to contribute to the work that Equator Faith Mission is doing in Haiti
you can send your contributions via mail to the below address. Any
contribution, no matter how small you may think it is, will be HUGE to
them. Please remember that the per capita income in Haiti is $258
dollars per annum. 50% of people live off of $1 a day and 75% live off
of $2 a day. Also, any contributions made are tax deductible and a receipt will be sent to you. Please make all
checks payable to Equator Faith Mission Church and provide a return mailing
address with your donations, and if possible denote Haiti relief efforts
at the bottom of the check.

"Celebrating 61 Years of International Ministry"
The Equator Faith Mission located in Oakland, California, was founded by Bishop Joseph & Bertha Wigfall. Together they have co-labored in the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world since 1949. Moments of Blessings has been a strong supporter of the mission's efforts through financial support, intecessory prayer, donations and sponsoring individuals.
The mission
has 23 churches in Haiti, with the largest compound being in Port Au
Prince. In the Port Au Prince compound we have a school that educates
1300 students, a clinic that services the community and a feeding
station that provides meals to members of the community all free of charge. The compound also has an orphanage where we currently feed,
house and clothe 38 boys and girls. The Faith Mission in Haiti has 19 mission schools with more than 6,000 students with plans to extend the work because the need is so great. The children are reading the word of God and study the Bible daily.
The gospel is spreading through the African airwaves reaching more than 20 nations including: Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Uganda. Calls are coming in from these countries requesting anointed crusades.

Mission History
In the year of the Lord 1949, soon after graduation from a Bible College in Oakland, CA Rev. Joseph Wigfall and Evangelist Bertha Wigfall received the call of God upon their lives to go to the West-Indies with the Gospel of Jesus-Christ and preach salvation to a spiritually hungry generation waiting for the word of life. They were fierce oppositions in the beginning as expected but through intercessory prayers and supplications, God gave them a breakthrough.
Friend, through their ministry in the island of Jamaica, many lives have been touched and souls snatched from the paws of the enemy and the first Equator Faith Mission Church was officially established in the Island of Jamaica W.I. in 1949
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go and I will guide thee with my eye” (Psalm 32:8)
Later on, upon the call of God, they have moved on to another Island, Haiti W.I. The people were enchained in poverty and devil worshiping. Their presence in the country was not received with acclamation by the voodoo priest and his worshipers. But God has prepared the hearts of the people to receive the word. Many of the Government officials have helped the Wigfalls to the mission firmly all throughout the country.
The Harvest is Great, the Laborers Few!
The harvest is the most important time in the life of a farmer. This is the time of gathering of the fruits; and the lack of laborers or willing workers may cause great loss. "The harvest is plenteous, and the laborers are few," says Jesus. "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, He will send forth, laborers into the harvest." (Matt. 9:37;38)
This is a plea from Christ regarding the time of the harvest. We must be ready to gather much fruits for His kingdom.
"…How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things.!" Romans 10:15
