The Moments of Blessings Church of Fresno

Approximately 35 years ago, in a home on the west side of Fresno, a small group of people began to assemble on a regular basis to share and affirm one another in their spiritual and moral beliefs. As the group began to increase in size, they looked for a place to worship. After much searching, in July of 1976 they happened upon a little church located at 922 S. Chance Avenue (formerly Eastgate Church of God) in the cities southeast corridor.

Along with the new location, came the responsibility of meeting the needs of those around us. To meet the demands of our community, the Moments of Blessings Church embarked on a partnership with the Community Food Bank, as a distribution site to provide food and other necessities to our neighbors in need. Recognizing the need to feed our children during the summer, the church began a summer lunch program for neighborhood children, there are youth outreach programs, a Prison ministry, a women's program (WIN-Women in Need) that targets all women from every walk of life as well as a Men's outreach. Realizing that charity begins at home then spreads abroad, Moments of Blessings Church also supports the Equator Faith Mission, which provides mission trips and outreach to Haiti, Jamaica, the West Indies and parts of Africa.

Although there have been many changes in the neighborhood and property owners have come and gone, the Moments of Blessings Church has been a mainstay and a place of refuge for many in the community and city of Fresno at large.

If you're in the Fresno area, we extend a warm welcome to you and your family and would like to personally meet you in one of our services. You will find hospitality and warmth when you come to worship with us. We are a vibrant fellowship who loves the Lord and we wish to share Jesus with you in the unique way God has gifted us to do so. Sunday School classes are a great way to get acquainted with the word of God and how we should apply his plan to our daily living. It's also a great time to get answers to the questions that you may have.

Family is the Heartbeat of Ministry

God fashioned the body of Christ after the structure that he ordained in marriage. The Word of God tells us that marriage is honorable in the sight of God and the bed is undefiled. He also said that he that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Many people have tried to alter the word of God, but His Word is true and shall stand forever.

As the husband is the head of the home, so is Christ the head of the church. When He returns, He called himself the bridegroom coming back for his bride.

We believe in marriage and we believe in strong family units. Every January, during the last weekend of the month, couples escape to the Central California Coast for The Annual In-to-Mate Couple's Marriage Retreat. It is a time where couples come together for fellowship, fun, relaxation, spiritual rejuvenation, and marital strengthening.

We are now in our 20th year of celebrating holy matrimony and looking forward to God's favor showering down on all of the families that are blessed to be a part of such an awesome experience.

Worshipping God Through Our Praise

Music is an important part of our corporate worship. Blessed with anointed musicians, praise and worship leaders and spirit-filled believers, God has anointed us to "raise the praise" and worship Him in the beauty of Holiness. We believe in giving everything we've got in total adoration for who He is and what He has done for us.

Because of His love, His compassion, and His tender mercies, we are not consumed. He is faithful to His Word. We are not ashamed to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Praise is who we are and what we do.

 

Audio/Visual Media Ministry

Our Sunday services are recorded so that individuals who are serious about building their personal relationships with Christ, homebound and unable to attend services or for those that want a double and triple portion, or have a desire to share the Holy Ghost inspired messages and worship experience with those they love, can make a donation to the media ministry and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Expanding Our Borders

The Moments of Blessings House of Prayer Church of Fresno is advancing to the next phase towards erecting our new sanctuary. This is indeed exciting news in the Kingdom of GOD. During Phase I, some of you had the opportunity to participate in this project.

As you all know, our facility is too small and too old to keep pace with the changing and growing needs of the ministry. We have been a valuable asset to the community for over 35-years and realize that we must expand to meet the demand. Ultimately, we feel the mandate of GOD on us to continue moving forward and accomplish this task. 1 Chronicles 28:10 sums up our sentiments: “…So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work.” Your new and/or continued support of our efforts is vital to bringing this mandate to fruition.

James the 4th chapter states that we have not because we ask not. Therefore, we dare not to be remiss in appealing to all of you who believe in the mission and value of this ministry to assist us with furthering the work of the Kingdom. Our ministry is about helping people and bringing total deliverance to the whole man. We know according to GOD’S word that we are always rewarded for our giving and you can rest assure that you will be sowing into good soil.

We have initiated Phase II of our Capital Finance Campaign which is a focused-fundraising effort with a time sensitive duration. We strongly believe that with your generous support this accumulated funding is certainly achievable. It is our prayer and hope to conclude this phase of the building project by February 2009. We implore you to prayerfully consider partnering with us.

All contributions are tax deductible. As an added incentive, we decided to create the “Wall of Faith” which will be a lasting memorial to all individuals, families, churches, organizations, corporations, etc. who hear the clarion call to partner with us. This permanent commemoration will be incorporated into the new sanctuary and will display the names of all donors who participated in this effort.
